This summer sees The Apples returning to the UK for the first time since their incredible live show at The Jazz Cafe last year, at which a full house witnessed their signature explosive live experience, and this Israeli funk phenomenon garnered an even greater army of fans. Since the huge underground success of their versions of “The Power” and “Killing In The Name Of”, The Apples have gone from strength to strength, blowing away audiences across the globe with their raw energy. Over the past eight years the nine-strong instrumental group has been folding cuts and scratches from every imaginable source into big band blares and Middle Eastern elements on top of a raw funk base, baking a thick multi-layered sonic treat. Expect the unexpected as the boys march forward. Digging deeper into their countless influences and resurfacing with genre-melting, ear-turning, booty-shaking music. Their latest album, “Kings”, is possibly their best yet and features legendary musicians from both sides of the Atlantic, Fred Wesley and Shlomo Bar, and this year we bring you The Apples live at Favela Chic, quite simply the most beautiful and unique venue to witness the band’s raw power and relentless live show!
