Scrimshire´s second single on Wah Wah 45s comes almost exactly a year after his debut, ´You Will Save Me´ (remixed by Spiritual South) dropped, and during that time this young South London producer has been busy in his basement honing his sound and putting the finishing touches to a plethora of stunning new tracks.
´Warm Sound´, featuring the sublime vocals of up-and-coming Norwegian songstress Inga-Lill Aker, first appeared on the second ´Underground Hits & Exclusive Bits´ compilation in 2007, and here gets a gorgeous minimal house re-rub by man-of-the-moment Aaron Jerome. On the flip, Scrimshire continues to explore the style of his first single with an extended, percussive workout entitled ´When The World Was Young´ (Part 2) where the haunting choral vocals take things that bit deeper – reminiscent of a certain Troubleman perhaps.
Check Scrimshire´s other new cut, ´Mistaken´ (featuring the very soulful Rob Hynd) on the next ´Underground Hits´ compilation, out in April!!
