We love Favela Chic! Our residency continues into 2010 with very special live guest Laura J Martin. Laura first came to our attention as flautist for Kid Kanevil’s live band, and now she’s stepping out on her own with material that encompasses folk, soul, jazz and hip hop. Part flute, part mandolin, part quirky vocals, part Wu-Tang marching hip hop folktronica influenced one-woman army. Believe us, you’ve never heard anything like Laura J Martin.
