Hailing from Huddersfield, songstress Belle moved to London to pursue music. Her style is heavily rooted in hip-hop, soul, dubstep and reggae. This enigmatic vocalist has all the laidback sultriness of Erykah Badu, with a pinch of old school soul singers like Etta James and Spanky Wilson. Indeed Heidi Vogel (Cinematic Orchestra) described her as having “fresh, funky neo soul vocals, but with an edge”.
Belle is currently putting together her very own compilation of female talent with Amnesty International, featuring, amongst others, Ursula Rucker.

She is also working on an EP and new material with Shaunise (Brownswood Bubblers/Tokimonsta), Bahwee (Teebs/Flying Lotus), Om Unit (Plastician//Stateless/Stones Throw) Lowkey and Kashmere.

With her track ‘Delicious Delicacies’ hitting over 47,000 views on you tube (WAYZ Drum and Bass Remix) and ‘Crazy Little Thing’ already receiving radio play on Rinse fm and the Hot Selection, this is one vocalist to watch in 2011, and one we’re very excited to give a Wah Wah debut to!
