Wah Wah 45s join forces with Germany’s Mocambo crew and the new voice of sister funk, Gizelle Smith, to bring you two exclusive remixes that are gonna destroy dance floors in the 2010.

Japanese producer Swing-O (AKA DJ 45) knocked up his monster of a remix of “Time Is Right For Love” a couple of months ago without being asked, and similarly the mighty Boca 45 loved “Hold Fast” so much that he devised this party starting remix simply to play out in his DJ sets! So with ‘45’ written all over it, the Mocambo boys decided to give Wah Wah 45s the pleasure of releasing these two sure fire club bangers on 7-inches of wax.

Check out Gizelle’s eponymous debut album, out now on Mocambo, and look out for more future hook ups with this raw and exciting new talent!

Surely a wicked and refreshing release. A-side reminds me of musical highs from BNH and Nu Yorican Soul. Will plug this next weekend and onwards. Boca 45 edit is also great. Both in the bag! Snorre Seim (Butti 49, Norway)

I have to say that the Gizelle Smith and the Mighty Mocambos “The Time is Right for Love” is one of the best 45’s I’ve heard in a long, long time! Instant appeal; a record that begs to be played out to a packed floor. This gem hits all the right notes, great combo of raw retro funk and Gizelle’s sweet vocals (who is that girl?). Congratulations on this one! The Boca 45 Mix of “Hold Fast” is great as well. Love the party vibe! This indeed has 45 written all over it and is sure to get a massive response. Johan Edlund (Believe!
